SUMMER HOLIDAY CAMP

B.A. Academy’s summer holiday camp offers an unrivalled package of activities during the school holidays. We're delighted that you are interested into booking onto our camp, we hope that this page contains all the information you need, but if you have any remaining questions please don't hesitate to contact us at enquires@ba-academy.co.uk

Please visit our COVID-19 Security page to see the steps we are taking to keep children safe during the summer.

When?

Our camps will run 9:00 – 16:00 on Monday – Friday for five weeks from 26 July – 27 August

Who?

Our camps are open to all kids aged 4 - 11

Where?

Bhasvic College, 205 Dyke Rd, East Sussex, Hove BN3 6EG

Our sports camp will take place on the field whilst the performance camp will take place in the college studio.

There are limited spaces available at the college's car park on Old Shoreham Road. The car park is accessible from the A27 bypass from Dyke Road Avenue by turning right at the 'ESSO Garage' traffic lights; left at next set of traffic lights on the Old Shoreham Road A270 and then finally left into the BHASVIC car park just before the Dyke Road traffic lights.

The Camps

We are concurrently running two camps at the Bhasvic College.

Performance - our performance camp will be a fantastic opportunity for your kids to spend their summer developing their skills in a wide range of performance based activities - our expert coaches will be delivering fun-filled sessions in musical theatre, gymnastics, and a wide range of dance disciplines, with time for outdoor breaks, arts and crafts, and general fun and games!

Sport - our sports camp is a must for kids who are looking for an action packed and activity-filled summer after far too long inside - our expert coaches will be helping the kids develop their skills in a wide range of sports including football, cricket, athletics, and rounders.

Our recommended package is the premium membership - for just £295 your child will have unlimited access to both camps throughout the summer. Every morning your child will be able to decide whether they want to spend a day burning some energy at our sports camp or getting stuck into one of the performance activities. Even if your child wants to do either sports or performance exclusively, our premium membership still provides maximum value as you will have access to your preferred camp for the whole 5 week period.

The premium membership has also been priced to provide maximum value even where the children do not attend every day. So if you have a holiday booked for the summer or want to get your child involved in other activities, and so your child only attends (for example) 17 of the possible 25 days, by purchasing a premium membership you would be paying just £16.50 per day and your child would be able to choose each day which club they wish to take part in. If your child is particularly keen and attends 100% of the clubs, you are paying just £11.80 per day!

Alternatively, our two week package at just £225 provides access to either our sports camp or our performance camp for any two weeks of your choosing, and our one week package at just £150 is for access to either our sports camp or our performance camp for any week of your choosing.

Home time

In order to keep the children engaged and entertained, there will be plenty of variety and every day will be completely different. Our coaches are experts in working with children and will tailor the activities so that there is scope for teamwork, learning new skills, communication, but most importantly fun! Our priority is to ensure that the children enjoy themselves and so this means creating a relaxed, inclusive environment where the children feel able to be themselves. There will be plenty of outdoor breaks throughout the day.

Drop-offs and Collections

On arrival, the parents or guardian will sign the child in with our coaches so we can confirm emergency contact numbers, allergy information, and any additional needs so we can ensure each child’s day remains safe and fun. We will then split the group into the performing arts club and the sports club.

At the end of the day, the children will be asked to sit down with their belongings until the parent/guardian specified on the register arrives. They will then be signed out by our coaches. Please just let us know if the person who is picking up your child changes for any reason.

Food

We don't allow children to share food due to possible allergies within the group. We also ask that children bring their own packed lunches and refreshments.

Staff

All our staff are experts in their field and experienced at working with children. They all have enhanced DBS checks and are trained in Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid. Below are profiles of just four of our wonderful coaches.

Martyn Box

Martyn is a qualified Level 2 football coach and will soon be completing his UEFA B football coaching course. Martyn also use to play football for Brighton and Hove Albion from age 9 to 16 where he then went on to sign his first professional contract at Barnet Football Club aged 16.
